Legacy Giving: Give For Tomorrow
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's Gift Planning Office can help you create an immediate or deferred gift plan benefiting NCMEC while also fulfilling your personal financial goals. NCMEC is available to meet with you and your financial advisor to answer any questions.
For more information contact NCMEC at 703-837-6430 or vmullins@ncmec.org.
Types of giving
Bequests
A bequest or a gift by will may be particularly attractive if you are unable to make a current, outright gift but would like to contribute to NCMEC in a meaningful way. Bequests may be restricted or unrestricted and will be used where the need is greatest.
Life insurance policies
The two forms of life insurance typically donated to NCMEC are paid up and newly issued whole and universal policies. Paid up policies have a cash value NCMEC may immediately use if necessary.
When taking out a new whole or universal policy you may structure the policy to pay premiums only for approximately 10 years, and each year’s premium payment is tax deductible. If you are considering such a life insurance policy, NCMEC suggests you contact the Gift Planning Office before beginning the policy paperwork.
Any further premiums you might pay are also tax deductible. Payments in the amount of the premium should be paid to NCMEC. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children will then pay the insurance company premiums.
